Tando - January Colour Theme

We're starting off the new year with a colour theme and I'm showing a card I made for Di's appearance on Hochanda yesterday:

As yet, these products aren't in the Tando Store.

I've used PVA glue to create the crackle on the heart and painted and stamped the butterfly.

The basis simply an ink spray through a circle template and brown paint splats.

Tando Tag and Media Board Gifts

I've made some little gifts for my family using the Tags and Media Boards from Tando.

I've used the stencil from {Fashion Dame Stamp Set} and DecoArt {White Modelling Paste} onto one of the {Tags Mega Bundle}
Once this was dry I gave it a coat of {White Gesso} and then a layer of Turquoise acrylic paint.
I added some {Quinacridone Magenta Fluid Acrylic} and then lightly removed some from the texture with a baby wipe.
I then added some white acrylic paint highlights using a make up sponge.
I punched holes in the bottom of the tag with a crop o dile for some ribbon to hold a mini pen.
It was finished of with a tiny bit of stamping, some mini grungeboard letters and a set of post it notes:

I made a few more in the same way. This one used {Bullseye stencil}

These are the smaller {Media Boards} and I've used the {Letters Stencil}:

Tando Sparkle

This week on the {Tando} Blog has been all about sparkle. I have made all of my cards I'm sending this year, yes, just the 2! Bah Humbug and all that!

I started off with 2 snowflakes from the {Pack of 5 Snowflakes} and painted them with white acrylic paints.

The first one I used a generous coating of DecoArt {Clear Liquid Glass} and then sprinkled glitter onto it:

The second one I gave a coat of glitter glue:

Both snowflakes have been stuck onto a background of alcohol ink and had gems attached to the middles before finishing off with doodling and a stamped greeting.

Tando - Same But Different

This week on the {Tando Blog}, we've all been given the same piece to decorate which is this lovely {Shrine}:

I glued it together using gel medium and once dry, painted it with gesso and added a thick, rough coat of {DecoArt White Modelling Paste} to the roof and floor and left it to dry thoroughly.

I then used spray inks to colour the insides and built up the colour in layers until I was happy with it.

Once dry, I painted the outside with acrylic paints, then used snowflake stamps and white embossing powder.

I gave the roof and floor a coat of DecoArt Glitter Paint.

Finally, I decorated 3 snowflakes from the {Snowflake Mini} and {5 Snowflakes} packs with acrylic paint and glitter glue before fastening the largest 2 with a brad.

I did aim to hang snowflakes inside the shrine, but when it came to doing it, it was far too fiddly so I built a stem for the snowflake using{Grid Rectangles}!

I added a battery operated tealight to finish off.

As is always the case, the photos don't show off the glitter very well.

Tando - Colour Theme

For this month's colour theme on {Tando} I made a card for my dad for Father's Day:

I painted 3 hearts from the {Hearts Grab Bag} with DecoArt Acrylic Paint and used the {Mish Mesh Stamp Set} to add detail using embossing powder.

For the card base I used the circles from {Tree and Leaves 3 Part Stencil} to go around the edge of the patterned paper.

I finished off with a stamped greeting.

As seen on Hochanda

This week on the {Tando Blog} we are showing the samples we made for the Hochanda shows that Di did. I made cards:

I painted the {Whimsical Bird 1} with acrylic paints and added lots of doodles. I used painted text pages and drew around the clouds from the old garden stencil then cut them out and used a computer generated greeting.

Again I used acrylic paints in layers with lots of blending for the {Whimsical Bird 2} and added paint dots and lots of doodles.
I cut a circle from scrap paper and used spray inks through the centre and added splats and a computer generated greeting.

Tando Mother's Day

It's Mother's Day on the UK this Sunday so on {Tando} we're celebrating all this week.

I started off by cutting part of the {Grid - Round} to the size I wanted and then soaked it in water for about half hour. After that, I carefully peeled it into 2 pieces. I left it to dry and then sprayed with ink.

Meanwhile, I selected 3 hearts from the {Mini Hearts} and experimented with pouring paint onto them. I mixed blue, white and pink acrylic paints with water to thin them a bit and them poured them all into a cup. Without mixing them, I poured them onto the hearts and kept everything crossed that the hearts didn't buckle  or the paint slide off. Here's a close up once I'd poured them and they'd settled:

They took a day to completely dry and then I gave them a thick coat of {Clear Liquid Glass}  to bring back the shine.

I finished off the card with a die cut panel and a computer generated greeting.
